phil-iveyIn what might be described as a ‘warm up’ match for the Durrrr Challenge Tom Dwan faced Phil Ivey in a $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha game yesterday.

It was Ivey that came away the richer once again. Dwan suffered another horrible downswing of almost $1 million dollars. Ivey, who suffered a similar downswing at the start of 2009 has been recovering of late and appears to be at the top of his game. All that does not read well for Dwan Challange followers. Many are now wondering just how much Dwan can lose and still take part in his Durrrr Challenge.

One tasty hand from Dwan’s latest bout saw Ivey river the nut straight with Jh3hTc9c on a board of AsJc2d7s8c. More than $270,000 found it’s way to Ivey’s stack from that hand alone.
