peter-eastgate Current WSOP champion, Peter Eastgate, has hit out at the editing on High Stakes Poker and defended some of his play. Eastgate appeared to be outplayed by Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan on several occasions but the youngster told Pokerlistings.se that wasn’t the case.

“I was just as aggressive as him, but because of the editing it seems like I was much tighter.” claimed Eastgate. He went on; “Dwan is one of the best, maybe THE best, but he wasn’t as aggressive as it looks on TV, it was just the way it was edited.”

Meanwhile Tom Dwan has fallen behind in his ‘Durrrr Challenge’ on Full Tilt Poker against Patrik Antonius. With 5500 hands now in the books there is still a long way to go before this challenge is complete. However, we’ve already witnessed the lead change hands several times and over $30,000,000 wagered between the two high stakes players. Dwan complained about his poor Internet connection in the latest session and suggested that play should stop until he got things fixed:

durrrr: i guess i need to quit
durrrr: until i fix intnet
durrrr: that was almost pretty costly
durrrr: well
Dealer: durrrr has 15 seconds left to act
durrrr: i guess it wouldv saved me $$ lol
durrrr: but lost ev
Patrik Antonius: k

With only 10% of the 50,000 hands played so far it looks like this challenge could be running for several months yet. We’ll have all the latest here at PokerNewsHeadlines.com.
