A former police officer and royal bodyguard smiled and shrugged as he was jailed for six years for defrauding friends and family of over £3 million to finance his “out of control” poker and gambling addiction.

Paul Page, 38, defrauded friends and family in a property investment scam. Page netted £3 million from the scam which he used to finance his gambling addiction and luxury goods such as expensive hired cars.

‘RakeBack is Killing Poker’ says iPoker Chief

iPoker boss, Danny Frishman, has sounded off regarding rakeback in the online poker industry. iPoker sites and skins are not allowed to offer rakeback to their players according to their contracts with iPoker/Playtech. Frishman believes that move is beneficial to his company and poker on the whole and is calling for other networks to follow suit.
