andreas Pokerlistings founder Andreas Oscarsson (pictured) has been found shot dead, in his bed, at home in Sweden. Police are treating the death as murder at this stage as the world of online poker is sent into shock at the news.

Oscarsson, described by many as a ‘brilliant internet marketing guru and a savvy business entrepreneur’, was visiting Sweden from his home in New York with his two year old son. His son was unhurt in the incident and is currently with police investigators. Oscarsson’s wife has reportedly left their New York home to fly out to Sweden to be with her son.

At this early stage the motive behind the shooting is unclear. Rumours circulating around Sweden and on the Internet are, however, suggesting that Oscarsson’s potentially ’shady’ dealings in the past have caught up with him in the most lethal way.

Friends and colleagues in Stockholm and Gothenburg have also confirmed that Oscarsson had received ‘concrete threats’ in recent times.

Poker News Headlines will have all the news on this apparent murder as it develops.
