Durrrr Hits Back in London Million Dollar Poker Challenge

Durrrr-Matchroom It seems a few pundits may have written off Tom “Durrrr” Dwan a little too soon following his poor run against Swedish online sensation Isildur1. Dwan is currently in London to play the Full Tilt Million Dollar Challenge against the likes of Sammy George, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies and Marcello “Luckexpress” Marigliano.

Dwan arrived in London on the back of one of his worst runs online to date. Isildur1 was the benefactor of the Durrrr downswing. Such was the extent of Dwan’s losses to the Swede it left many questioning if the 23 year old was on the verge of going bust. The action in London proved otherwise as Durrrr hit back in style over three match ups.

First to take on Durrrr was Italian high stakes regular Marcello “Luckexpress” Marigliano. Marigliano, it seemed, looked set to pour on the misery for Dwan but after 500 hands he left with just a few thousand dollars in profit.

Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies was the next up and the two set about each other in a Pot Limit Omaha match. Dwan finally saw some light at the end of the downswing tunnel and ended the game with a $68,000 profit.

Finally, last night, it was Britain’s Sammy George’s turn to step up to the plate. Dwan simply ran over George in a blistering display of poker. The Londoner was forced to rebuy two times before the game concluded with Dwan $750,000 to the good.

It would be fair to say Dwan is probably breathing a little easier today after a torrid November at the online tables. Stay tuned to Poker News Headlines for the latest action from the high stakes tables online and in casinos!
