Poker has had it’s fair share of crazy prop’ bets down the years. Everything, from racing a racehorse to growing facial hear, has been on the agenda for some of the more fun-loving poker players. The latest prop’ bet is certainly a new one on us here at Poker News Headlines.
The bet in question came up on the latest edition of High Stakes Poker. Tom Dwan suggested to meat loving Phil Ivey that if he didn’t eat any meat (including fish) for the next year then he would pay him $1 million.

You might expect the occassional large pot in a cash game title “Million Dollar” but rarely do you see a pot exceed the one million mark in Full Tilt’s flagship televised cash game.
$1,108,500 found it’s way into the middle of the table when two old rivals, Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan, locked horns. Fellow Full Tilt Poker pro’ Patrik Antonius was also involved in the action but the savvy Finn had step aside from this particular hand before both players held monster hands.
When the turn fell both players held a straight but it was Phil Ivey who was in big trouble…

The new month hasn’t started off well for the latest online poker sensation Isildur1. The Swedish high stakes player has become the media darling in the last couple of weeks due to huge swings on the Full Tilt Poker nosebleed tables.
After posting some big profits only a couple of weeks ago it seems Isildur1 has been on the slide ever since. Last night saw the Swede take on Brian Townsend, Ilari Sahamies, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius and Cole South. Despite hours of play and thousands of hands in the books it was a disastrous session for Isildur.

While the high stakes poker players continued their nosebleed grinding the UK seemingly let out a collective cheer as tone-death twins John and Edward (Jedward) were eliminated from the popular X Factor TV show. The glum looks on Jedward’s faces could possibly be matched by Isildur1’s this morning. The Swedish sensation was beating up the highest stakes games on Full Tilt less than a week ago, putting Tom “Durrrr” Dwan to the sword on several occasions.
Now it seems the variation bitch has bitten for Isildur1. Only a few days ago he was several million dollars in the black. Today that figure is a relatively small $750,000. So what’s been happening?

It seems a few pundits may have written off Tom “Durrrr” Dwan a little too soon following his poor run against Swedish online sensation Isildur1. Dwan is currently in London to play the Full Tilt Million Dollar Challenge against the likes of Sammy George, Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies and Marcello “Luckexpress” Marigliano.
Dwan arrived in London on the back of one of his worst runs online to date. Isildur1 was the benefactor of the Durrrr downswing. Such was the extent of Dwan’s losses to the Swede it left many questioning if the 23 year old was on the verge of going bust. The action in London proved otherwise as Durrrr hit back in style over three match ups.

The high stakes action at Full Tilt Poker has been the main subject of conversation between poker forumites of late. Isildur1, Durrrr and now Antonius are the names associated with the nosebleed stakes and, like many dramas, the action has been full of unexpected twists and turns and even a mysterious player!
Last week we saw Tom “Durrrr” Dwan take a beating from Isildur1. The Swedish player appears to be the latest darling of Internet poker after taking several million dollars from Dwan. To date nobody really knows who Isildur1 is! That fact alone is whetting the railbird’s appetites each time the $500/$1,000 PLO tables swing into action.
